Summer 23 Housing Information

Summer housing will be available from May 21 through August 11, 2023.

The University reserves the right not to contract with persons who are currently violating the terms and conditions of a housing contract, who have previously violated the terms and conditions of a housing contract, who have violated University rules or regulations, or who have a past due balance with the University.

• The summer application will be available beginning April 3, 2023 at 10am and can be completed via the Housing Portal. In order to apply for campus housing, an EKU student ID number and active EKU email address is required. Applicants who do not have this information may contact the Housing & Residence Life Office at 859-622-1515 or housing@eku.edu.

• Summer Housing is currently scheduled for McGregor Hall and the cost is $185 per week. A week is defined as Sunday-Saturday.

• Students currently residing at Grand Campus Apartments may continue to do so at a rate of $260 per week. A week is defined as Sunday-Saturday. Students may be required to relocate to another apartment depending on the university's maintenance schedule. Students not currently assigned to Grand Campus, but are scheduled to live there for fall will be assigned to McGregor and will be allowed to move to Grand Campus once their fall assignment is ready. Students not residing on campus in the Fall must vacate by August 11th. 

• Summer housing opens on May 21 at 9:00 AM.

• Summer housing is no longer tied to sessions. Applicants will need to indicate arrival and departure dates on their application. These dates may fall anytime between the summer housing open and close dates (May 21 - August 11).

• Assignments will be determined by space availability.

• Due to the end of summer dates and the beginning of the fall semester, all residents who have a Fall 23 campus housing assignment will be required to move to their fall location in late July. Those who will not be on campus for Fall 23 will be expected to relocate to another location in late July to allow preparation for fall opening. Residents who have not contracted for Fall 23 campus housing will be expected to vacate summer housing by August 11 at 6:00 PM.

• Summer students associated with specific groups participating in an established summer program will be allowed to keep items in their room over predetermined breaks during the summer. These breaks are to be set in advance at the beginning of the summer period and must be approved by Housing and Residence Life in advance

Residents who need to arrive before May 21 may indicate the need for interim housing on the application. The cost of interim housing is $185 per week for McGregor and $260 per week for Grand Campus (only available for those who currently reside at Grand Campus).
