History of Burnam Hall

HISTORIC BURNAM HALL

Burnam Hall is named in honor of Judge Anthony Rollins Burnam (1846-1919) who served as a State Senator, Court of Appeals Justice, and was a prominent resident of the Richmond, KY community. He influenced the decision to locate one of the state's normal schools in Richmond. Dedicated in 1920, the hall contains larger than average rooms, and until 1940 the college cafeteria was located in the basement.
